The starting point

As the key financial infrastructure operator for Switzerland and Spain, SIX is at the interface between stability and innovation. However, the existing IT infrastructure has become increasingly challenging due to growing digitalization and rising demands on security and scalability. Several separate platforms resulted in fragmented processes, made standardized identity management difficult, and increased complexity in an industry that does not tolerate compromises in security and efficiency.

To remain future-proof and comply with the growing regulatory requirements, SIX decided to consolidate its infrastructure and introduce a modern solution that seamlessly combines security, flexibility, and user-friendliness.

Features that give real added value

Strong security: The Nevis Security Suite is a proven on-premises solution that provides a central platform for SIX’s identity and access management and fulfils the highest security requirements in the protection of all internet-enabled B2B applications and interfaces.

Improved usability: Thanks to cutting-edge technologies, such as multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, and session clustering, the platform not only offers maximum security, but also a smooth user experience – even during maintenance work.

High availability: The solution processes up to 30,000 requests per minute and can even handle peak levels of up to 80,000 requests – around the clock, 365 days a year.

Greater efficiency: By consolidating several platforms into a single standardized solution, SIX was able to significantly boost efficiency while simultaneously reducing the complexity of its infrastructure.

How we got there

Adnovum has been supporting SIX continuously for over 16 years and, along the way, has managed to establish a stable, experienced team structure. Our agile team model and clear communication channels allowed us to significantly reduce implementation times and ensure smooth integration. Our close collaboration enabled us to meet SIX’s high requirements and expectations and to successfully implement numerous parallel projects.

Furthermore, Adnovum’s common history and close partnership with Nevis, as well as our considerable expertise in Nevis products, were also significant contributors to the seamless implementation of the project. This ensured that SIX obtains the maximal benefit from the state-of-the-art Nevis solution.

«We’re so glad to have found partners in Adnovum and Nevis that support us with reliable, versatile security tools and comprehensive advice to protect sensitive information from loss and cyberattacks. These solutions are becoming increasingly important across all industry segments, but especially in the financial sector.»
